A Message from Mrs. Bartolotta
Welcome to St. Justin Martyr School where our students are
Formed,
Informed,
Transformed for life!
When visiting St. Justin Martyr School, people first notice our welcoming
atmosphere. The supportive parents, faculty, staff, students, clergy, and
parishioners provide a nurturing family atmosphere. It is a joy to be a part of
such a positive climate each and every day. For that reason, we feel that St.
Justin students are
formed with family.
If you tour St. Justin or speak with a parent or student Ambassador, you will
quickly learn of our highly trained and dedicated faculty and staff. Our
students are truly
formed by the best. Many hold advanced degrees. All
are extremely generous with their time and talents to offer extra academic
assistance or extra-curricular opportunities to our students. All are regularly
involved in professional development opportunities to stay current with what
research shows are best practices in education. Two of our teachers were
recognized this year as recipients of the Emerson Excellence in Teaching Award,
an honor bestowed to only 1 in 500 Archdiocesan teachers in any given year.
At St. Justin we utilize research-based methods to map our curriculum and
student progress. We make adjustments to our instructional methods and
curriculum as a coach would in a game rather than in response to problems
discovered too late. We integrate the latest technologies and research-based
instructional strategies. This promotes the most effective outcomes for our
students. For this reason, we feel that our students are
informed with
innovation and
transformed by knowledge.
Most importantly, St. Justin Martyr School provides a faith-based environment,
incorporating experiences of worship, prayer, service, and community building.
Our students attend Mass twice during the school week. They are enriched by
Catholic traditions such as the living rosary, Stations of the Cross, special
celebrations to honor the Saints, and Eucharistic Adoration. Special school
'families' and 'buddy' activities help build community. Our partnership with
parish Prayer Sponsors unite us in prayer with other parishioners. Pastors of
both parishes support our school and serve our students. Meaningful service
projects directly involve our students so that they come to understand the
importance of their role in serving God. Our students are truly
transformed by
faith by these and other experiences they enjoy at St. Justin.

this wonderful school community.
